Only public data, only at your request. When you paste your profile URL we fetch the public bio, recent public posts and public engagement counts for that profile — the same things anyone visiting the page can see. If a profile is private, we stop and tell you.
We process the profile you submit to provide the audit you requested and, when you purchase, to fulfil that contract. We use your email to deliver and secure your report; optional product updates require separate consent. We do not sell personal data or use reports for advertising.
Profile content is analysed in memory and is not retained as a separate raw scrape. The structured report and its evidence excerpts remain available until you delete them. Operational rate-limit records expire with their configured windows. Payment records are retained where required for tax, fraud prevention, and accounting.
You can erase a report and its underlying scan at any time: open your report and use the “Delete my data” option, or email privacy@follower.io from the address used for delivery. Erasure from the active application is immediate and permanent.
Depending on configuration, profile data may be processed by Google for multimodal extraction, Anthropic for narrative analysis and coaching, Supabase for secure storage and authentication, Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery, Vercel for hosting, and a configured public-data provider for retrieving the URL you submit. We send each provider only what its step requires.
Paid reports can be exported as PDF and structured JSON. Sharing is off by default and only creates a limited public summary when you explicitly press Share. Essential cookies secure your account and private reports. Optional Meta measurement is off until you choose “Allow analytics”. If allowed, we share page, checkout and purchase events with Meta to measure advertising. We never send your report, Instagram handle, profile content or scan findings to Meta.
Follower.io is a self-audit tool: run it on your own profiles. We don’t offer people-search, background checks, or monitoring of third parties.
